How To Style for Camping
Well hello there everyone and welcome to another blog post!
I appreciate that from the title, some of you may be wondering how I can tie trends into a camping wardrobe. But believe me, although there is a limit as to how many items of clothing you can bring camping, it doesn't all have to be ugly hiking boots and practical, waterproof trousers.
There are certain things that there's obviously no point in bringing, for example, heeled shoes. Can you imagine a wet, muddy field paired with some heels, that isn't going to end well. Another is white items, they are bound to get filthy within seconds of wearing them. Albeit I did opt for pair of cream striped trousers - but to be honest it wasn't a huge issue this time around but I still wouldn't advise it!
We started off our trip on Monday, and travelled to the campsite we had booked in Northumberland. I chose to wear a comfortable, breathable outfit because of the journey and busy day ahead. This outfit consisted of the white striped trousers I mentioned from Forever 21 and an amazing little black camisole from Primark. This was perfect as the trousers were oh so comfy and it is rather warm when you sit inside a camper for most of the day. to finish it off I chose to wear my trusty white converse as they are super practical for camping. I paired this outfit with a cardi from H&M as it got colder later in the day.
On the second day of camping we decided to visit the lovely Alnwick Castle and Garden. The weather was good but the wind a little chilly, so I wore the black camisole over a white tee, again from Primark. The black cami is so versatile and it would also be great paired with a turtleneck for Autumn. I wore my beloved Topshop Jeans and of course white converse. The garden was so gorgeous and I may have had a cheeky Pimms or two!
Next we went on a rather windy boat ride in Amble so I chose to wear this long-sleeved thick t-shirt with a fab frilly bit on the front from Asos. I love this top as it your average red jumper to the next level and really dresses up an outfit. I paired it with my trusty Topshop light washed jeans (I mean what else Is as practical for camping than these bad boys?) and converse (the perfect camping shoe.) I had an amazing Lobster dish in the harbour and bought the cutest cushion with a lobster on it a I tiny shop also in the harbour. It was a good day!
So there you have it. The perfect guide of what to wear camping. These outfits consist of very few out fits so they are great for squeezing into a tiny camper wardrobe!
