That Party Dress

Hey there! Tis the season to be jolly and I am just that. Yesterday it was my school's famous, annual Christmas Ceilidh. It's the best for miles around apparently. It is honestly the highlight of the whole year (living in the Scottish countryside lowers our standards a bit, I know!). And choosing the perfect dress is oh so important. I had to order 3 dresses before I found 'the one' and my friend ordered 7 (!!!) because she just couldn't decide. 

So here it is; the chosen one. This lovely velvet number is from Topshop and I just can't get enough of it!

I really love the way the fishtail swishes about as a dance to the Scottish tunes. And don't even get me started on that neck line, I just love it!

I like to think that this dress is quite Peaky Blinders-esque. (if you haven't watched Peaky Blinders, you have to) It's that swishy, fishtail again - just perfect.

Velvet is just perfect for Christmas party season as it will keep you nice and warm whist adding fun and texture to your style.
