Spring/Summer Wish List
Hello my lovelies! In my last blog post I talked about this
season's top trends and how there are endless possibilities when it comes to
styling this year. So, as you might guess there is a whole ton of things
fashion wise I have been lusting over for the last few weeks or so. I'm here to
talk you though all these amazing pieces, and I'm telling you there may be a
risk of spending all your money after reading this so please be careful!
In my Christmas
wish list blog post I had a little rant about how much I am loving doodles
right now. I am not quite sure where this obsession has come from, but all I
know is it is totally my aesthetic. This top is just perfect for me and the
neutral navy and white shades means it will go with pretty much any other item
in my wardrobe. I have been seeing tops like this everywhere and have been
desperate for one to call my own. Now I have found this super affordable one
from Monki and its going straight into my basket!
For a while
now, I have been wanting one of those adorable co-ord sets from For Love and
Lemons or Reformation but they are just so unbelievably expensive and I am not
willing to spend that much on an item of clothing I’ll only wear on holiday or
on that one sunny day in Scotland so I have found a cheap alternative. This
Asos two piece has some serious Ref. vibes and it is only a plus that it is
really affordable. I really am a sucker for a bit of red and this set would tie
in perfectly with the "Crayola Brights" trend that has been doing the
rounds this spring and summer.
Mules just scream summer to me as
they exude a 70s vintage vibe, which is the kind of vibe I like to go for
during the warmer months. All I would need to do is add a pretty kaftan dress
with a giant straw hat and I’m good to go. Mules are also a great way to keep
your feet cool in the summer plus they make your legs look great. Exposing
the leg all the way down to the heel makes for a slightly provocative - and
super flattering - style statement. This pair from Asos are no exception and I can’t
wait to call them my own at some point over the next few months.
This bag from Elizabeth and James honestly is the most beautiful summer bag I have ever come across. Everything about it is just gorgeous. I love the delicate detail and sturdy handle and I can just imagine how perfect it would be for a beach trip. I have been lusting over it for the longest time and I know I will never get it because it is ridiculously expensive, but hey, a girl can dream right? And I'm sure I will be able to find something similar but cheaper further into the summer months.
I have been dying to try out that Kurt Cobain aesthetic with a pair of these white, oval beauties from River Island. They are such a statement and I can imagine them finishing off every look perfectly. The white makes them really stand out and I am all for that retro trend that has been doing the rounds lately. I have seen this style of sunglasses all over Instagram (for example Megan Ellaby's) and just need to join in with this trend.
I am really into denim right now; distressed, deconstructed, light washed, dark washed (with the one exception of acid washed) and the one item I am missing is a top. The good thing about denim is that it is completely neutral so this top from Shein will go perfectly with any of the trousers that are in my rather extensive collection. Just think how amazing this would look on a summer holiday with a pair of white linen trousers! I honestly think this top is a must have.
So, that's all for today folks! There seems to have been a theme of monochrome in this wish list which is totally unlike me as I usually love a pop of colour. Anyway, please let me know in the comments what you are lusting over right now. Thanks for popping over and do come and say hey on my Twitter and Instagram.
